Prime Rabbit Hunting Land
Our area of Kansas is a perfect example of prime rabbit habitat.
From our native grass pastures to the cedar choked draws, and overgrown fencerows.
And our favorite - the red briar bottom land.
Our ground hunts big and hard with common tracts 320 acres on up, so well-conditioned dogs are a must.
Rabbit Hunting with Hounds
Typically, we rabbit hunt January thru March because these months are prime for cold frosty mornings and ideal hound scenting conditions.
Under good scenting conditions you can expect your hounds to jump 20 rabbits a day, with 10 kills a day being an average day.
Feel free to bring anything for bedding and overnight tie outs for hounds. All lodges have well-lit outdoor areas with water and electric to help with housing your hounds.
